Hope you must already have an idea What Periscope is? If not please read our previous post What is Periscope? It is Twitter’s live video streaming app which makes live streaming easy! In this post we will guide you on how to create, setup account on Periscope and how to use periscope and start live broadcasting.
Lets hope you have installed the app successfully. When you open your Periscope app, you’ll need to log in with your Twitter account. Full directions are here from Periscope on what happens after you launch the app. If you have multiple Twitter accounts on your device, you will be prompted to choose which one you want to sign up with.
What if you don’t have a Twitter account or haven’t added one? to this particular phone? Don’t worry, Periscope is a standalone app now, like any other apps it gives you the option to sign up with you phone number.
1. Once you’re on the login screen tap the Sign Up with Phone Number
2. Enter the required info and tap Send Confirmation Code
3. You’ll receive an SMS with your confirmation code.
4. If you have problems or don’t received the code, tap the Resend Confirmation Code.
5. Go back to the login screen, wait for a few seconds and then you’ll be redirected to create your profile! Remember, your username needs to be 2 or more characters.
When you log out of or quit Periscope, tap “Log In with Phone Number” and you’ll be prompted to enter your phone number and send a confirmation code again. Don’t worry, you’re not going through the sign up process again, this is just a different way to log into
This name will be your handle at Periscope. If you signed in with your Twitter account, your Periscope name can be different from your Twitter name. Remember, your Twitter handle and your Periscope username are two different things. If your Twitter handle changes, your Periscope username will stay the same.
Please be careful in choosing username, right now Periscope do not allow users to edit username. Deleting your Periscope will not free up the @username or Twitter account you originally used so you can use it for another account.
If you'd just like to create a second Periscope account with a different Twitter handle, you can log out by going to your Periscope profile (top right corner when you're on the People Tab) and scroll to the bottom. There, you can log out and can create another account using a different Twitter account.
Watch a few Periscopes to see what people are doing. To watch, you will simply click on the titles of Periscope videos that have been broadcast in the last 24hrs.
It may take some time to delete your account. In the meantime, your account will be disabled and inaccessible to others using Periscope.
Please note that you cannot sign up for a new Periscope account using the same Twitter account or phone number after it's been deleted.

How to Create Periscope Account?

3. Pick your Periscope username.
Like any other account sign up process in Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, Periscope will ask you to pick a username. Upon sign up, a list of usernames will be suggested based on your Twitter handle or you can create a different username of your choice. Your username must be unique and have at least two characters. If the username icon turns red upon creation, the username is unavailable.This name will be your handle at Periscope. If you signed in with your Twitter account, your Periscope name can be different from your Twitter name. Remember, your Twitter handle and your Periscope username are two different things. If your Twitter handle changes, your Periscope username will stay the same.
If you'd just like to create a second Periscope account with a different Twitter handle, you can log out by going to your Periscope profile (top right corner when you're on the People Tab) and scroll to the bottom. 4. Start following people on Periscope
Browse around and select some people to follow. Periscope will make a few suggestions.Watch a few Periscopes to see what people are doing. To watch, you will simply click on the titles of Periscope videos that have been broadcast in the last 24hrs.
5. How do I delete Periscope account?
To delete your Periscope account, please email help@periscope.tv from the email address that corresponds to your Twitter account. Please include your Twitter, Periscope usernames and the subject "Delete Account". If you signed up with your phone number, you have to provide your Periscope username.It may take some time to delete your account. In the meantime, your account will be disabled and inaccessible to others using Periscope.

I am not receiving the confirmation code needed when creating an account with your phone number. I've tried over ten times now.
